Another curve ball...
Life is full of them. Our most recent curve ball came from the National Guard. Here's what happened: Brandon was set to leave for basic training on April 11. He was to report to a hotel in SLC where he would stay a couple of nights while the paper work went through then he would be off to South Carolina for training. He said his goodbye's to the kids (not a fun time) and I took him to the hotel. We said goodbye and I drove away (not that quickly, but that's the basic idea). That was the most difficult feeling. Knowing that I wouldn't see my love for nearly 4 and a half months. It was nice to see that he was having a hard time with it as well. Not because I want him to have a hard time, but it made me feel good that he still loves me enough to miss me. =) So I bawled all the way home and again when I went to bed. The next day I got a phone call from him telling me that I need to pick him up from MEPS. Apparently they were missing some medical paper work. After saying goodbye...we have to do it again? Not good. So I picked him up and we went to get the paperwork he needed. We had to have the papers in by the next day, which we did. Then it was a waiting game. Brandon made several phone calls when we hadn't heard from the Army, but they told him that they would let him know. After about 4 weeks of waiting, we finally got the news. Brandon would need to have surgery before he could go to basic training. He was medically discharged and can't enlist again for 6 months. We are hoping that we can get the surgery done before then so he is able to do it again. Or, maybe there is a change in plans for us that we just don't know yet. Our lives are on hold once again and can't wait to have some stability in the near future. He is going to start school soon and get that going at least. We will continue to pray for what is right for our family and we know that whatever happens is for a reason. Thanks for everyone's support and love. We love you and appreciate all of you.

Wow... what a rollercoaster for you all. I will keep you in my prayers that things will work out for you guys. Good luck!
So sorry to hear about the surgery and everything falling apart! It just seems unfair. Good luck!
Aw Am, I'm so sorry. You guys have been through quite the roller coaster. Good luck to things in the future!
I guess the saying that the only thing we can count on in life is change is true! You are such a strong woman and handle the uncertainty so well. I am sorry life is sending you guys on a roller coaster. Perhaps it is a blessing in disguise and great things are heading your way.
