Weekend Fun!

We had a wonderful weekend! I didn't have to work and didn't have a boutique, which has been a while since we've had a weekend when we didn't have something going on. First stop: Bluffdale parade. I left my camera in the car so I didn't get any pics, but I took a few at the town days celebration. The blow-ups were free (amazing huh?) and the kids loved it. The only downfall was the long lines, but we managed. We even saw my cousin Natalie there who just moved to Bluffdale from Cedar City. I had no idea, but it's nice to have more family so close. =)

After Bluffdale, we headed to Payson to the Grotto. The hike wasn't very long, thank goodness because I didn't plan very well. Four of us were wearing flip-flops which was nice when we got to the water, but made the trails a little more difficult. We took our little Jakey with us and he loved it!

Brandon kept trying to get the kids to go over and touch the waterfall, but they didn't think that was a very good idea. Brandon decided to show them it wasn't so bad. He rolled up his pants and walked in the freezing water to the waterfall. He thought it should be my turn after that, but nope, not so much. Livi tried several times to make it over to the waterfall, but never quite made it. She was soaked up to her waist by the time she finished trying. The cold didn't even phase her like it did the rest of us.

Logan found this rock and said it was a wishing rock. I love his creativity. His teacher told him that if a rock has a line all the way around the rock, then it's a wishing rock. He was so excited to find this special rock. After a while, he finally decided that he should throw the rock in the water and make a wish. Later on the hike, he told me that his wish didn't come true. He said that he wished for a million wishes and his next wish was to fly. He was pretty disappointed that he couldn't fly. Ah, that sweet little innocent boy just makes my day so much better.

After the Grotto, we found another trail higher up the canyon. It was gorgeous up there! The only problem with this hike were all of the mosquitos, oh and the horse poop on the trail. Livi was so funny. She saw the poop and made a face and asked what it was. I told her what it was and she carefully walked around the piles. Then she just jabbered on and on about how she really liked horses, but not their poop. It was hilarious. Seriously, what would I do without my kids? Life wouldn't be as exciting.
