Last weekend we had our first annual family reunion with my parents and my siblings (and their famillies). The festivities started Friday afternoon with a miniature golf course that my dad made in his backyard. I was at work until 7:30, but when I got home, the boys were still golfing and loving it. We also had a BBQ followed by a late night filled with board games. The plan was for everyone to camp out in the backyard, but Kelli and Spencer were the only ones that ended up sleeping outside. Sorry Kell Bell, next time we'll join you for sure.

Saturday morning we had a yummy breakfast then headed to the canyon for a hike. We hiked up to Donut Falls which was a perfect little hike for the kids. My little niece Karli had the easiest time of all on top of Brandon's shoulders. She had the biggest smile the whole time because Brandon would make the hike fun for her. He ran with her on his shoulders and was being silly.
After the hike, we met up with my brother, Shaun, and his family a little lower in the canyon for a picnic lunch. (Not everyone went on the hike. Shaun, Jason, Steph, and Heather and their families didn't go on the hike.) Cami found some really 'wierd bugs' on the back of the sign which we later found out were just the remains of bees that shed their outer layer. The kids were freaking out about the strangeness of the bugs. Cami said it was a new species that had never been discovered where the bees' back's opened up. It was pretty funny.
After lunch, we went back to my parent's house to swim. Then, we headed to Herriman for fireworks. Livi was a little nervous about the fireworks at first, but then loved them.
We had a superb weekend and can't wait for next year's reunion!
